Those with Level 3 REPs registration will be awarded 16 CPD points upon successfully passing the courses assessment.
Performing in sport or taking part in physical activity places extra demands on the body. No matter what level your client is at – whether they play sports recreationally, go to the gym regularly, are training for a specific event, or they’re an elite athlete participating regularly in events – they’ll all need a personalised nutrition programme that will allow them to be the best that they can be whilst staying healthy, energetic and injury free.
This essential 2 day course will cover:
• An overview of the physiological mechanisms of the body that are challenged by the rigours of exercise and training
• The latest research from the field of sport and exercise nutrition
• Key nutritional protocols to support recovery, aid progression and limit damage to the body
• Common problems relating to sport and exercise
• How to keep your clients not just fit but optimally healthy by supporting their endocrine, digestive and immune systems, as well as the musculoskeletal system
• How to maximise results and minimise issues such as inflammation and injury
• The latest research, and practical application, of proven sports supplementation. Removing the marketing hype and examining the science behind enhancing performance and recovery
The assessment of learning will be in the form of a short answer Knowledge Review to be completed within 2 weeks of the course attendance. Guidelines for the allocation of marks are as follows:
Each student requires a 80% mark to pass and gain certification.
Level 3 Personal Trainers and other Level 3 Health and Fitness Professionals on the Register of Exercise Professionals will then be able to register their 16 CPD points.

The courses offered by GB Fitness are a very unique in their approach. We pride ourselves on real education for Exercise Professionals who want the knowledge to make a difference to the lives of their clients and the results that they achieve exceed those of the mass-produced Instructors that are all too common in our industry.
There is a lot of work covered each day (with more study and revision at home) but this is how we can fit so much in that is not normally included by other training companies, esp. at this price! These courses do go much deeper than your standard "turn up-and-pass" type that seem to be the trend!
The course books are in depth and focus on NEEDED skills rather than information you will never use.
The courses have a varied base of students from Elite athletes to some that have never trained...it is an equal starting ground as many have pre-conceived ideas that we may well change for the better of both you and your clients ...

Fitness Professionals honour successful students with professional insurance cover. C.P.D. courses and workshops are accredited by Skills Active and they will award REPs CPD points.
The British Complimentary Medicine Association and the Complimentary Medical Association have set GB FITNESS with Independent College status and validated all courses including the Diploma In Advanced Nutrition for Optimum Health. "My name is Paul Lennon and have been in the health & Fitness Industry for over 7 years now. Like many I have been attracted by some of the well known companies in the U.K who promise to deliver the most cutting edge research that is meant to provide you with the tools needed in the industry as a Fitness Instructor/P.T. After they happily take your lump sum of hard earned cash you eventually find yourself sitting the painfully easy exams and pass. I quickly began to realise as a freelance P.T I needed far more ammunition and a vast arrary of knowledge to be the best. That's When I turned to GB Fitness... I was already qualified as a P.T when I enroled onto the Adv Gym Instructors course and had gained my education through recognised groups such as NASM, WABBA, ACSM, YMCA, FOCUS and in house training from Esporta, LAfitness, Virgin Active, Fitness First and local leisure centres. But this is what you should expect. GB Fitness taught me so much I actually had over and above the practical & theoretical knowledge to be the best in my field. Due to the abundence of knowledge I gained from GB Fitness I worked onboard luxury cruise liners around the world. Working for the biggest spa group in the world called 'Steiner' and have been on 3 different liners and 3 different cruise ship companies. I have travelled the Med, Caribbean, Alaska, South America, Australia and the South Pacific. I am Currently on the Pacific Sun cruising to Fiji... Because of the enhanced skils and knowledge Cain was able to teach I was promoted to the Fitness Director. This includes doing body composition analysis tests (BCA), 4 classes a day ranging from aerobics, pilates, yoga, stretch and abs...I also did P.T, seminars on health topics such as-Detox for Weight Loss, Fire Up Your Metabolism, Secrets to a Flatter Stomach, Healthy Back & Abs, Eat More To Weigh Less and finally Fats that heal Fats that Kill form Dr Udo Erasmus. I also got to go form ship to ship, training other fitness guys who lacked the nutritional knowledge to make them the best.
